My first road trip to South California

Hey you guys, It has been more than a decade (in dog’s year) since I wrote about my adventures. So it is time to update you on my latest one, a simple road trip from Santa Clara to San Diego….

It all started on the morning of Friday June the 13th, a very omen day of luck because I was going to vacation for a week with my human parents . What a pleasure to go on vacation, imagine they told me about the beautiful beaches of south California and I could not sleep at all that night as I was imagining myself running on the hot sand after seagulls and crabs, my hair in the wind, the water rushing after me (I don’t like to be wet) a beautiful dream of California vacation…Ok so we could dream, anyhow I was telling you that my parents decided not to take a plane this time but to go by car (which I do not like very much)! Oh well what can I do, I am only a 12.5 pounds dog after all. We left early in the morning to our first stop: Ventura near Los Angeles. The trip was quite long so we stopped on the way in Solvang, a danish city where I could stretch my pawsies and smell the flowers.

Later, we drove to Santa Barbara for dinner. I like Santa Barbara. There was a lot of art galleries tp go to. I even got a treat from my mommy at a local dog shop :)
Unfortunately, the restaurants had a very strict policy on dog on the patio so I had to stay outside the patio area with my parents. We ended up dining at .......The chicken was excellent...Trust me I tasted it.

After Santa Barbara, we drove to Ventura where we had an hotel for the night. I like hotel, especially king size bed....

Today, in one hour I am going to Ola and Michael for dinner. I must go and get ready. Talk to you soon.

It was great, we had a great time at Ola and Michael's house. The garden is SO cool I could climb and smell the flowers, I feel free. The food and company was superb. I will make sure I am invited again soon in their South San Francisco house....

Two months of silence...Rien depuis deux mois.

Yes it has been already 2 months since I posted my last entry....Nothing really happened in the winter month...except that my daddy sold his car and now when I got to work with him we need to walk for 20 minutes, which is great for me and my pawsies. I like the morning walk when I could get all dirty in the wet grassy.

Time to go Home....Il est temps de rentre a la maison

Vacations are over...I am leaving France to go back to sunny California. It has been a good two weeks of relaxing fun, food (I think I gain 1/2 pound of weight) and family. On my way back, we stopped in snowy cold Chicago, but in a way the fresh air did me some good between the two flights. A new year is ahead of us, ready for 2008!

***********

My christmas 2007 in France

I am in France, and really enjoy myself even if the weather is quite cold. I did not do much this time around, just rest, sleep, eat and again sleep... Christmas was hosted by my aunty Maryline where we spend the evening after traveling for
more than 48 hours. Anyhow, we ate well some "chapon", for me it was more like a big chicken without balls! this is what they said it was. Anyhow, it did taste like chicken to me. I ate this chapon for almost the entire time I was there (10 days) could you believe it? Anyhow, we had cheese also, good sticky and stinky French cheese....hum it was delicious. I like cheese.

Christmas was presents opening for the kids at Papa Luc's house. The kids were very excited and opened the presents so fast I do not even remember what they had. At least they were leaving me alone which is in itself a great Christmas present to me. I got one present as well, as toy shoe from Maryline, she got it at the vet where she works. Thank you. At least one person thought of poor me!!!!

The week went by and not much to report on that, it was quiet when the kids were not around and crazy when they were. New Year's came and went and before we knew it it was time to say goodbye to everybody and leave VERY VERY EARLY in the morning...like 5 am. I tell you my parents are crazy, why leaving so early, it is not like they had a plane to catch.....oups I guess we had to catch a plane!

Please find attached a selection of photos of our vacation as we (my daddy) took a lot, no A BIG LOT....:)

*************

Merci beaucoup. Au moins une personne pense a moi !!!

I am traveling to France

I am stuck in Washington! yes, I am still in Washington after 1 day of traveling. Let me tell you what happened. We took out plane yesterday in San Jose but during the flight someone got sick, very sick indeed...a heart attack I heard. So we had to land in emergency in Denver and stayed there for a few hours until they could refuel the plane. After that we were in our way to Paris. Yahoo!!!! But unfortunately, we were to late to pick up our Paris flight so we had to stay in Washington (bummer) for one night at the Hyatt....I had to sneak in because dog are not allowed there. but I could tell you that was one of my best hotel stay in my short life....The bed was big and I had no problem sharing with my parents!!!

Now I am at the airport at the lounge and I am checking that there is no dog or illegal activities outside the window. Watch me below.

All is good on the West Coast after the Earthquake

Yep, all is good now after last week earthquake. It was something. What a year: Fire, leaking water and now a *&$# earthquake...Like in California is somehow stressful. I am planning to sleep in today (like everyday) but especially today. I have a video that I will upload and you could see me sleeping....I am quite excited as the year is rapping up, we are going to France, my mummy is planning a big holiday party for one of her group and soon my daddy will take his exam and maybe pass it this time!!!! no pressure there ahahah. Next year, we might move to San Francisco, this is what I heard, so we will need to find a home or a condomium like they call it so we could move there....the only important thing for me is that the place has a balcony or patio, so I could stretch my leggies outside sometimes when the fog is gone, which is what three times a year! ahahah SAn Francisco is cooold and I do not like cooold.

There is a leak in my bedroom...

Yes, there is a leak in my bedroom. Ok ok, it is not my bedroom but my parents bedroom, but I sleep there too... Friday, it was raining a lot in the South Bay and when I came home with my mummy, there was a water all over the bed...not pretty, just very wet, and I do not like water (at all). The weekend passed by and no body came to fix the leak, so I think tomorrow it is going to be very wet in our bedroom again. I can not wait for the winter to be over! I do not like rain.

Asia's birthday party in Berkeley...

Yes, another weekend and another 2 parties... I have been an animal lately. It was great to get away to Berkeley to see Asia's new apartment and celebrate her birthday. It was great as I had my favorite pillow in the whole world so I could take a nap during the party...not like last week.

Finally I was able to attend this party. Could you believe it, the summer is gone, it was all work no play...This is why last Saturday I party like a crazy puppy...all play no sleep. I entertained for hours, played a lot and had such a blast...Sunday I was quite tired all day and I got up around 5pm as I had to recover from my hang over. But it was worth it.

Party Time -

Could you believe it we are already in August! Time for Party at the Kedars' house...Finally we will have some fun. My birthday passed by without anybody noticing...Poor me. Oh well, let me tell you about the excitement at my mummy's work, and by the way, I am helping too by keeping everybody happy and high spirited in this high stress time. It is a party for Tom, the youngest boy, the one who like me very much and steal my favorite pillow in the whole world all the time. I don;t mind because he is always very nice to me, and let me leak his face....

Bastille day - le 14 Juillet...

Hey Hey, today we are the 14th of July and I am celebrating with my mommy this important day. I must admit, I am quite proud to be French...Yes I am, I even have a french passport to prove it. Anyhow, we went to Menlo Park to a French outdoor concert and it was quite fun. Thanks god we went there because I'd miss the "French Poodle" parade this afternoon in Santana Row as my mommy was too busy with taking care of my grooming. Ho well, there is always next year.
At the concert people were singing the "Marseillaise," my mummy was quite impress at my barking along....to be honest with you I was not singing it, just barking at a dumb cat that was nagging me. Oh well, everybody was impress and they all looked at me. Go figure, I really don't understand humans!

I am back after a long long time away...Je suis de retour apres une longue absence...

Hey everybody, I am back. Today we are the fourth of July, meaning that I finally take some time to update my bloggy. I have been pretty busy the last past two months...Actually, my mummy has been too busy to help me with my blog. Anyhow, let me tell you what happened since my last entry...

In May and after my trip to France, I had a great weekend in Santa Cruz with my parents. We went to the beach and I ate a lot of sand. They were doggies everywhere and I made a few friends. It was very relaxing and even if the weather was not the best, I had a great time. My friends Ola, Mike, My and Christina were there too.

In June, Mummy was busy working on some new ventures so I did not get to do anything fun, except to go to visit the East Bay and Pacifica on Sunday. It was great but we did drive a lot that day. Last week, I was invited to Jovon's engagement party in South San Jose and I had 2 sausages which were very spicy....I got kind of sick in my stomach the next day. Oh well, I guess I need to learn. Now we are in July and I am so EXCITED because my second birthday is coming very very soon, in actually 24 days....I think I am going to have a party.

I am back from France - De retour de France

Saturday April 28, 2007:

Yes, I am back. I could not write before as I had a lot to do last week and with the jet-lag it was quite hard to stay awake at night. Anyhow, now I could tell you all about my adventures in France.
It was quite a long trip, 30 hours total, pillow to pillow...We, my mummy and I, had to leave VERY early on Saturday as our plane was a 6am. I was asleep all the way to Washington. We had to take a funny looking bus to get outside. The policeman were very nice as they escorted me to the grassy area near the main terminal. There I ran wild for an hour. It was great to stretch my legs. But soon we had to take the next plane to Paris. I slept most of the trip as well, except to eat the chicken that my mommy gave me from her meal. She is such a good mommy to me. Once in Paris, we had to pick up our luggages. Some nice people were talking to us and even help us with the suitcase. We had to go to the terminal 3, the next stop for me and my leggies...it is where there is a nice grassy area where I could run and do my business, if you know what I mean. It was so easy this time as now CDG have a new train between terminals. It only took us 4 minutes to arrive to terminal 3. It was great because we had to go to pick up afterward the train again to the Terminal 2. It was Sunday morning, and the policemen already closed the train station. I did not know what was happening until we hears a big noise! They made a luggage explode inside the train station...Could you believe it. These French are crazy. Anyhow, we were able to get to our train after that and I was getting very bored so I sat on my mommy's lap and look outside. Unfortunately, the train was going so fast that it made me sick. I went back in my bag and had a stomachache until the end of the trip. We finally arrived and I went to my uncle Cyrille for a visit all afternoon. They have a dog that is so annoying!!! anyhow, before I knew it, it was night and time to go to bed again. What a crazy long day.

*****

My week in France:
It was overall a very relaxing week for me, nap, foody, walky with the kiddies, chasing cat (except the one of my ant Maryline, Minette was very nasty with me), and more foody...Ah I like France...The only thing they do there is drink talk and eat. What a nice country.
I even make some new fury friends.. I have them in photo (Bidule, Belle, the birdies etc...) See below:
*****

Regardez.

I went to see some basketball practice, where Baptiste was playing with me and that evening, my mommy and I went to Vendee to eat at the Pilet family's house. They barbecued some very tasting sausages for me and their dog, Sam. It was nice to get a taste of grilled sausages instead of the traditional chicken. I am including a photo of the family...Don't they look very French... I had a great time there...we came back home late that evening. The following day was already the last day for me in France, so we all went to the beach for a long walk. Julie was my leach holder for the afternoon (I said that because she was thinking she was holding me, but in reality, you know who is the boss ???? :).
It was a great trip...I will be back there soon I hope.
